Loren Strickland took an unconventional route to the NFL. He played his first four college seasons at Indianapolis before transferring to Ball State, where he finished his senior year with 31 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. He went undrafted in 2024 before signing with the Detroit Lions as a free agent.
The safety made Detroit’s roster as a rookie and appeared in seven games during the 2024 season. In 2025, he added two more regular-season appearances and recorded two tackles. His path from Division II football to an NFL roster makes his Lions story a little different from the usual highly recruited prospect.
The Loren Strickland T-Shirt brings that under-the-radar Lions story into the team’s fanwear lineup. It’s a fitting pick for supporters who like following developing defensive players and the less familiar names working their way through Detroit’s roster.
